Mindspace

Mind is the suburb of the Heart. There will be a constant conflict between Mind and Heart all the times. So Mind needs to be engaged in the right direction and people should address this conflict with a good judgement. Every one cannot be virtuos enough to make a good judgement. So it is very important to nurture our mind and assist it to be in a positive equilibruim. Its natural to get all kinds of thoughts both Good and Bad. We need to allow the Bad thought to be a passing cloud and keep and grow the Good one. For example if you go to work with a bad mood and mind, every thing that day looks not right and you get into more troubles and your judgement is compromised. On the contrary if you go to work with a pleasant and good mind and mood, that day is going to be very pleasant and you clear your plate with good judgement and get laurels. So the results of your work are ignited in your mind and we will just see it unfold during the course of time. If you want pleasure you will get only those related thoughts and situations, if want to be rich you will work towards and positive situations happen .....so on . So the determination to succeed in life and be righteous should be stronger than the fear of failure. If you do not belief in your selves then the fear of uncertainity will evolve from within and this fear will manifest into failure. All the big businesses in this world are based on the factor and fear of uncertainity. We take insurance to be prepared for any uncertain event, we have Anti Virus installed for the fear of any uncertain virus attack, we save money in the savings accounts , we invest in mutual funds, real estate...so on...all this for the fear of uncertainity. The whole Share market, Hedging and the Forex is based on uncertainity. You go to watch a live match for example say Cricket One Day International in a stadium. Every Ball is exciting for the factor of uncertainity. We do not know whether it is going to be a six, or a four or a wicket or just nothing. The result of the Match is uncertain. Your expectations on the match might assist you in formulating a result but not the certainity of the result. In real life most of us and most of the times, we end up doing things what others expect from us. That is ok as long as it is good and you will be flowing along with others. But if you want to stand out , then you should know your inner expectations . What you expect yourselves to be and how you want to achieve it. Once you determine that and live with that thought day and night, you would see the condusive environment unfolding for you and assisting you in achieving your determination. This is the strength of a thought when applied in the right direction with good determination. When you are going in the path of achieving your expectations, dont stop in middle and look back. you should only stop after being successful and then look back. Then you can further fine tune your path for your next journey. Great people like Mahathma Gandhi, Martin Luther king, Abraham Lincoln enforced this thoughtfulness with great determination.
I read in a book written by Benjamin Franklin ,how he used to experience this conflict between his mind and various thoughts his mind used to feed him in his course of becoming one of the greatest historians this world has seen. I would like to share few of the phrases which he quoted in his book, out of his experiences:
1) Better stand being Poor, than being rich on your knees.
2)Diligent and Righteous: Poverty and Misery do not dare look at you if you have them.
3) How you conduct your life when you are alone, tells volumes about your character.
............these are only few i could recollect immediately.
